Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) FT Day
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while working under the supervision of registered nurses. The LPN provides patient education and guidance within the scope of their education and demonstrated competencies. The position is full-time, with day shifts lasting 12 hours. The role involves providing compassionate care to underserved and vulnerable patients in a mission-driven organization. The LPN works with nursing staff and other relevant personnel to support individualized treatment plans, deliver care according to established protocols, and document nursing encounters.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Reside in the United States.

- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under RN supervision, assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units; contribute to individualized treatment planning and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
- Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift.
- Follow safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions, and respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
- Assist with medical or minor surgical procedures.
- Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
- Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, and follow policies and procedures while providing patient care.
