LPN (7am-7pm) - Shelby Gardens
About The Position
Shelby Gardens Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional, resident-centered care. This is a full-time day-shift position scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including every other weekend. The nurse provides individualized care, administers medications and treatments, monitors residents’ health, documents clinical care, and supports personal care staff. The role promotes residents’ dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life while following community policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid Tennessee LPN license.
- Have strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond calmly to resident needs.
- Have excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Be dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused.
- Be able to work independently while remaining a supportive member of the care team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or a related setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately to health concerns or emergencies.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the care team.
- Provide guidance and support to personal care staff during the overnight shift.
- Follow community policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Promote each resident’s dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
