About The Position

Shelby Gardens Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team full-time for the 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. shift. The role provides exceptional, resident-centered care in a senior living setting. The nurse supports residents’ dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life while working independently and as part of the care team.

Requirements

• Current and valid Tennessee LPN license.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond calmly to resident needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a supportive member of the care team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or a related setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care according to each resident’s individualized care plan.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately to health concerns or emergencies.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and other care team members.
• Provide guidance and support to personal care staff during the overnight shift.
• Follow community policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Promote each resident’s dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
