About The Position

DeCoach Recovery Centre provides comprehensive, compassionate care to people struggling with substance use disorders, using evidence-based treatments and therapies tailored to each client’s needs. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) joins the healthcare team in the residential treatment program and provides high-quality medical care and support to clients throughout their recovery journey. The role calls for a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse committed to positively affecting the lives of people struggling with addiction.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and families.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to clients undergoing addiction treatment in a residential setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
• Monitor clients’ vital signs and overall health status, and report changes or concerns to the medical team.
• Assist with medical assessments, screenings, and intake processes for new clients.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, counselors, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate and counsel clients on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications that support recovery.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
