About The Position

American Village is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care to residents. The role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories. Nurses use their skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The position is available full-time or part-time, with day, evening, or night shifts.

The LPN supports a comforting, engaging atmosphere and works collaboratively with nursing and facility teams to coordinate care. The nurse promotes teamwork, communicates respectfully, and demonstrates the C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Requirements

• Hold a current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Indiana.
• Have proficient medication management skills.
• Be able to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident condition.
• Have a strong passion for geriatric nursing and a commitment to senior care excellence.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and facility teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Work with the team toward the shared goal of excellent resident care.
• Support a respectful and positive work environment through interpersonal communication.
• Manage medications, assess residents, and document changes in their condition.
