About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a senior living facility in Southbury, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. You will monitor residents’ health, administer medications and treatments, and support residents with daily activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will document residents’ progress and communicate with the healthcare team, contributing to residents’ quality of life and health.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven patient-care experience, particularly in assisted living or similar settings.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform nursing tasks with precision and care.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and monitoring vital signs.
- LPN license/certification required.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct patient assessments and document vital signs and health status.
- Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members about health conditions and care plans.
- Monitor residents’ health and support them with daily activities.
