About The Position

Cayuga Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for its Med/Surg service at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, New York. LPNs practice at their full scope and may engage in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs and services to improve patient outcomes. The role contributes to executing an optimal plan of care in a shared governance environment. This is an onsite, part-time night position with no expected travel. Weekends and holidays are assigned. The stated pay range is $26.15 to $37.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Requirements

Active New York nursing license; out-of-state nurses are also eligible to apply.
Completion of an accredited LPN program.
BLS certification. New hires may obtain certifications during the introductory period.

Responsibilities

Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and co-workers.
Dispense medication within the scope of practice and accurately document in patients’ electronic medical records.
Obtain patient-care data and record it accurately in patients’ electronic medical records.
Report abnormal findings or changes in a patient’s mental or emotional condition to the RN, including changes in vital signs, abnormal weight gain or loss, and increased pain.
Respond promptly to call bells and patient needs.
