About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. As a member of the nursing team, the LPN collaborates to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes and the care provided to patients, families, and significant others.

Requirements

• Diploma from a Practical Nursing program.
• Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Certification to administer medications.
• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience.
• Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• IV certification.
