About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse supports OBGYN care at Saint Thomas Women's Health in Nashville, Tennessee. The role includes assessing patients’ holistic needs, helping establish personalized care plans, providing clinical treatments and medications, monitoring for adverse reactions, performing diagnostic laboratory tests and therapeutic services, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge self-care. Requirements
- Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
- Hold a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing, or a current home-state license recognized through a multistate compact, prior to hire or job transfer.
- Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Be willing to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate holistic patient assessments to identify immediate needs and help establish a personalized, effective care plan.
- Deliver clinical treatments and medications, monitoring for adverse reactions to support patient safety and comfort.
- Perform diagnostic laboratory tests and therapeutic services to provide the clinical team with information for medical decisions.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and self-care after discharge.
