Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - All Shifts
About The Position
FutureCare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide support and care for residents in a nursing facility. Under the direct supervision of an RN, the LPN assists with care planning and treatments, applies nursing knowledge and resources, and helps ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with applicable State and Federal guidelines. The role includes documenting care, reporting changes in resident status, reviewing referrals, and pursuing opportunities to maintain and expand professional competency. The position offers a stated base pay range of $31.25–$36.00 per hour, with shift differentials. Actual offers consider experience, qualifications, location, and certifications or training.
Requirements
- Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
- Must possess a current CPR license.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with personnel, residents, and families.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist where needed.
Nice To Haves
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consult with other nursing staff as appropriate, applying knowledge and resources.
- Demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
- Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice is within State and Federal guidelines.
- Document care provided and report changes in resident status to the shift supervisor.
- Review referrals for consultation, treatment, or problem resolution to ensure they are valid and applicable to documented nurse plans.
- Seek opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
- Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.
