About The Position
Warwick Forest Lifelong Health and Rehab is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to monitor residents and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The LPN provides for residents’ and families’ emotional and physical comfort and safety and assists in supervising auxiliary personnel. The position works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Nursing Supervisor, and is ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered to part-time and full-time LPNs hired. The listed hiring range is $28.90–$39.78 per hour; actual pay depends on job-related factors including experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP), required upon hire.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute, required within 30 days.
Nice To Haves
- Less than one year of nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to provider orders.
- Allow resident choices within the limits of the resident’s capabilities while considering safety and dignity, and follow facility policies and procedures, including those concerning resident privacy and dignity.
- Assign duties to non-professional staff, such as CNAs, based on their education and training, facility policy, and resident needs to support quality resident care.
- Engage team members to support optimal performance and address performance as needed.
- Participate in medication and treatment administration, monitoring, and observation of resident care.
- Identify changes in residents’ conditions and document them according to nursing practice standards.
- Follow through consistently to promote positive resident outcomes and use sound judgment and specialized skills.
