About The Position

DeCoach Recovery Centre is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Dayton inpatient facility. The LPN will provide medical care and support to clients in a residential addiction treatment program, helping ensure high-quality care throughout their recovery. The role calls for a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse committed to supporting people experiencing substance use disorders.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Ohio.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
Understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and families.
Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care and support to clients undergoing addiction treatment in a residential setting.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
Monitor clients’ vital signs and overall health status, and report changes or concerns to the medical team.
Assist with medical assessments, screenings, and intake processes for new clients.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, counselors, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Educate and counsel clients on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications that support recovery.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation according to regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
