About The Position

Spring Arbor Senior Living of Bristol, Tennessee is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Wellness Nurse for its Assisted Living team on a full-time overnight shift. The Wellness Nurse supervises the delivery of care and services to residents, performing nursing procedures in accordance with state and local regulations and accepted standards of care. Ongoing communication with associates, residents and their families, professional consultants, and third-party providers is important to resident welfare.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must hold a Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
• Must be CPR/AED certified.
• Must have at least one year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
• Must pass a criminal background screening.
• Must adhere to the company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting residents’ needs, and monitor the condition of residents in Assisted Living.
• Use good decision-making skills.
• Make work assignments and meet regularly with associates to identify and correct problem areas or improve care and services.
• Provide resident care according to health care providers’ orders and applicable regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and company policy.
• Administer prescribed medications accurately and supervise continuity of resident care.
• Respond to changes in residents’ conditions, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care, and perform first aid as required.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
