About The Position

Cooperative Home Care is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide private duty nursing for pediatric and adult patients in Crystal City, Arnold, Festus, De Soto, Hillsboro, Pevely, and surrounding areas. Private duty nursing offers one-to-one patient relationships and flexible scheduling, in a home-based setting rather than a hospital or facility environment. The nurse provides care according to physician orders, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies. The role also supports clients with home and social activities, promotes independence at home, and requires completion of clinical documentation. Cooperative Home Care provides classroom and on-the-job training, including training through local hospitals to support care for higher-acuity clients. Pay is $32.00 to $35.00 per hour. Sign-on bonuses are available for picking up shifts; nurses may qualify by working as little as one eight-hour shift per week, with larger bonuses for taking on more hours. Overtime hours are not capped.

Requirements

Active LPN license in the state of Missouri.
Active CPR certification; the employer can provide a class if the certification is not active.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
Assist clients with home and social activities and actively promote independence at home.
Complete all necessary clinical documentation.
