About The Position

Promises Behavioral Health is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join its team in Dacula, Georgia. Requirements

• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state of employment.

• CPR/First Aid certification is required. If not certified at hire, certification must be obtained within the state-mandated time frame after the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new clients and assist with completing medical and health assessments or questionnaires.
• Coordinate with attending physicians to ensure admission orders are addressed and appropriate ancillary assessments and services are provided.
• Complete client treatment plan documentation, including nursing assessments, transcription of physician and nurse practitioner phone orders, medication administration, client progress, physical health services, and related issues.
• Direct patient care and report observed changes in mental status or physical condition, responses to emergencies, and safety risks.
• Provide ongoing patient education on detox, recovery, medications, and other health issues.
• Reconcile quality assurance client medication sheets to ensure clients receive appropriate medications and oversee proper medication destruction.
• Reconcile pharmacy orders daily.
• Assist with developing and implementing the quality assurance program and train staff in infection control, nursing, pharmaceutical, ancillary, and laboratory services.
• Attend treatment planning conferences and professional staff meetings.
• Be available for 24-hour coverage for consultation and emergencies.
