About The Position

Greystone Farm at Salem is seeking a compassionate nurse to provide care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The role involves working with a team of associates to support residents and build lasting relationships. The posting identifies the position as full time, with evening hours from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. or night hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and a pay range of $32.25–$38.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Current state RN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program, as required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous paid or volunteer experience working with the elderly is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior or health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources in accordance with state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
