LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse - Private Duty (Days & Overnight)
About The Position
Adoration Private Duty is seeking a dedicated Private Duty Licensed Practical Nurse to provide expert, patient-centered care to an adult client in the Memphis, Tennessee area. The role is based out of the Cordova, Tennessee office and involves providing one-to-one care according to the client’s plan of care while supporting the client’s dignity and independence. Trach, ventilator, and G-tube experience is required. This is a full-time position with scheduled day and overnight shifts: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The nurse administers medications and feedings, provides oxygen and ostomy care as indicated, documents care and outcomes, communicates changes in the client’s condition, and helps coordinate necessary supplies and medications.
Requirements
- LPN/LPT/LVN degree from an accredited college of nursing.
- Current unrestricted registration and license in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of car insurance.
- Professional CPR certification.
- Trach, ventilator, and G-tube experience.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
- Home Health care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one care according to the client’s plan of care while maintaining the client’s dignity and independence.
- Administer medications and feedings, provide oxygen and ostomy care as needed, and assess and document results according to the plan of care.
- Accurately document nursing actions, care provided, progress toward established goals, and outcomes.
- Communicate with the family, case manager, and physicians, and report changes in the client’s medical condition and needs.
- Coordinate or order supplies, medications, and feedings to ensure adequate quantities are available.
- Ensure patient needs are met in accordance with physician instructions.
