About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide care to patients admitted to a nursing unit. Under the direction of the unit RN, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the LPN uses the nursing process to deliver patient care. The role serves medically complex and/or critically ill patients who require extended hospitalization and works with an interdisciplinary team to carry out individualized care plans. This is a PRN nights position at Rocky Mount Specialty.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted LPN license in the state of application.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of hire; reimbursement is provided.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
• Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to help carry out individualized care plans.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
