About The Position

Vital Medical Staffing is seeking dependable, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our growing PRN team. This role offers flexible opportunities across a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, behavioral health facilities, assisted living communities, memory care facilities, and clinics throughout Louisiana. It's ideal for nurses looking for extra income, supplemental work, or the freedom to choose when they work.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted LPN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent licensed nursing experience preferred
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain one)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• CPR/BLS must be instructor-led and completed in person (online-only certifications are not accepted)
• Reliable transportation
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work PRN and maintain reliable communication with our staffing team

• Nurses who are willing to pick up last-minute shifts and maintain open communication with our staffing team are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice
• Monitor and assess patient conditions
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, CNAs, and facility staff
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and care plans
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Maintain professionalism and strong communication during every assignment
