About The Position

Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (medical/surgical) who are willing to travel to Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area hospitals to join their team. Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned. The goal is to foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12 hour shift. This is a casual to full-time position with flexible shifts.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practicing license that is current, active, and in good standing with your respective provincial College.
• Transfer of active practicing license will be required with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B.
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years.
• Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider).
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
• Proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination.
