About The Position

This position involves assisting in determining and providing medical/psychiatric nursing care and treatment for patients at Oregon State Hospital, under the supervision of the RN. Responsibilities include administering medications as ordered by the provider, completing focused assessments, and responding to emergent psychiatric situations that could potentially be dangerous. The role also contributes to maintaining a safe and secure environment and the therapeutic milieu.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License at the time of appointment.
  • The license must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time from the application date.
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test if offered employment.
  • Complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire.
  • Pass an abuse check, criminal records check, and driving records check.
