About The Position

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon State Hospital (OSH) has a career opportunity for a Central Pharmacist in Salem, Oregon to ensure safe and appropriate distribution of medications to patient care areas at the Oregon State Hospital. You will oversee pharmacy technician activities, coordinate medication storage and dispensing from central pharmacy carousels and peripheral automated dispensing cabinets, and ensure regulatory compliance with cold storage and controlled medication systems. You will also review medication orders, promote safe and optimal medication utilization, and serve as an important resource for other healthcare professionals in accordance with applicable Federal and State Laws, and Joint Commission accreditation standards. Pharmacists at Oregon State Hospital must ensure that pharmaceutical and related services are always available on both OSH campuses.

Requirements

  • A current Pharmacist's license issued by the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD
  • Registered member in good standing with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license or the ability to provide alternate means of transportation for the purposes of travel between Salem and Junction City campuses
  • Able to flex hours or work additional shifts when necessary to complete time sensitive projects or ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
