About The Position

The Oregon State Hospital, a division of the Oregon Health Authority, is seeking Registered Nurses to join an excellent team at its Junction City Campus. This role involves providing nursing care to individuals residing in a forensic psychiatric facility, with the goal of helping them recover from illness and return to their lives in the community. Key responsibilities include administering medications, developing nursing plans of care, completing assessments, and responding to emergent psychiatric situations that could potentially be dangerous. Additionally, the nurse will monitor staff work assignments and supervise staff to ensure a therapeutic, safe, and secure milieu.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unencumbered Oregon Professional Registered Nurse license during the entire length of their employment
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test (contingent upon employment offer)
  • Pass an abuse check, criminal records check and driving records check (contingent upon employment offer)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to individuals currently residing in the Oregon State Hospital
  • Administer medications as ordered by the provider
  • Develop nursing plans of care
