About The Position
The Maples is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts to support The Maples Clinic in Hammond, LA. The Maples is partnered with Beacon Behavioral Partners, a network of physician-driven psychiatric practices with over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health industry. Beacon manages administrative responsibilities, allowing practices to focus on patient care. Beacon Behavioral Partners guides practices across Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas, offering access to a network of over 400 staff members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, mental health therapists, and recreational therapists. An experienced physician advisory board provides a supportive community for sharing insights and building best practices.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have active Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention
Nice To Haves
- experience in behavioral health care preferred
Responsibilities
- Participates in the planning, coordinating, and documenting of total patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Accurately reports and records the client’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change
- Accurately monitor skin assessments with proper documentation and reporting of changes
- Completes, maintains, and documents accurate and relevant clinical notes
- Ensures timely and accurate clinical documentation for all nursing clinical services provided
- Participation in education, in-services, and other training and meetings as needed
- Facilitates appropriate nursing action(s) in response to administrative directives and a changing healthcare environment
- Ensures all MD orders are followed and documented accordingly during the assigned shift
- Manages medication administration, monitoring, and proper storage of medication and complies with all medication management policies and procedures
