About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direct supervision of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse in an ambulatory setting. The role performs technical patient-care duties and related clerical functions, which may involve electronic word or data processing equipment and conventional office equipment. Positions primarily support the North Dodge/Holiday Road General Pediatrics Clinics or the North Dodge Pediatric Healthy Weight Clinic, with possible floating to other specialties or clinic locations based on clinical needs. The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, participates in developing nursing care plans, and helps implement therapeutic programs for patients. In less complex situations, the LPN may direct and supervise assigned nursing personnel; in more complex situations, the LPN assists the registered professional nurse. The General Pediatrics Clinic position is 70–100% time (28–40 hours per week), with variable weekday hours between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; limited rotating weekends may be required, with no holidays or on-call time. The Pediatric Healthy Weight Clinic position is 50–100% time (20–40 hours per week), with variable weekday hours between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and no weekends. Both positions are based in Coralville, Iowa, or surrounding clinic locations based on clinical need or hours.
