About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing and clinical intervention and medication administration for assigned residents on a nursing unit and ensures smooth operations of the unit for a designated shift. Administers medications for the unit(s) assigned in compliance with state regulations and pharmacy regulations. Familiarizes his/herself with each medication administered, observes and stays aware for resident response to the medications, knows the optimal time for the medication, and confers with the physician about the medication administration. Always model our core values of respect, passion, and professionalism, and hold others accountable for doing the same. Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is a not-for-profit, faith-based Life Plan Community located along the southern shore of Chesapeake Bay. Our mission is to enrich lives through the power of purpose, belonging, and wellness. We live our values every day: Respect for every person, Passion for what we do, Professionalism in all we do. Assisted Living at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay offers personalized care in a residential setting for residents whose health or well-being requires a higher level of support to enable them to be as independent as possible, only stepping in to provide additional care services and support when needed. This support is in addition to the continued lifestyle of a resort style senior living community. We believe that being part of a community is as important as the care that is received. And with the LifeCare benefit, there is no increase in the basic monthly fee as residents transition through the continuum of care.
