About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide private-duty skilled nursing care in clients’ homes. Private-duty assignments involve caring for one client for a full shift of 8, 10, or 12 hours. Nurses work with local clients, typically with short commutes. Common diagnoses include traumatic brain injury (TBI), cerebral palsy (CP), premature birth, spinal muscular atrophy, and epilepsy. Nurses with experience in hospitals, long-term care, and schools have transferable skills for one-to-one home care. BAYADA describes itself as a nonprofit organization with established leadership and a history of more than 50 years. Skilled nurses receive 24/7 managerial support, a compliance hotline, weekly paychecks, flexible scheduling, and preventive care coverage, including for PRN employees. Part-time and full-time schedules are available, including days, evenings, and nights. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is advertised for full-time night nurses. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to one client at a time in the client’s home.
- Work full shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours in private-duty assignments.
- Care for clients with diagnoses that may include TBI, CP, premature birth, spinal muscular atrophy, and epilepsy.
