About The Position

River Landing at Sandy Ridge is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to work every other Saturday and Sunday on the second shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. River Landing at Sandy Ridge is a continuing care retirement community whose mission is to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of those it serves. The position provides nursing care to residents, including monitoring their condition, administering medications and basic care, assisting with daily activities, and communicating with families. The community emphasizes strong resident-to-caregiver relationships, teamwork, and outstanding care.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform a variety of care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry.
• Physical condition and stamina to perform the role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and ability to handle stress.
• Successful completion of an LPN license program.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record patients’ medical histories.
• Measure and record blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and other measurements.
• Observe patients undergoing treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and maintain patient charts.
• Assist patients with necessary daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas; clean and dress wounds; and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family members or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
