About The Position

This position is responsible for providing licensed nursing services to residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Lifestyle Corporation. The role involves medication administration, resident admissions, care plan completion, and health-related consultations. The Licensed Practical Nurse will also be responsible for notifying physicians and family members of changes in resident health, responding to emergencies, and maintaining inter-departmental communication. Additionally, the role includes providing educational meetings, maintaining resident confidentiality, and potentially handling discharges and clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program
  • General nursing area of study
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Experience in Senior care or related field
  • Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing.
  • CPR Certified
  • Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
  • High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration for residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
  • Admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation.
  • Completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
  • Clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.
  • Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
  • Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
  • Respond quickly to all emergencies.
  • Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
  • Discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
