Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - No Weekends
About The Position
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to help support the continuous enrichment and development of individuals with developmental disabilities in our adult residential facilities in New Castle, IN. This role involves ensuring each individual receives quality, individualized health care management, conducting routine site visits, checking vitals, doing assessments, counseling of medication administration, and documenting progress. The LPN will also act as a health/medical resource for staff, train staff in the medical arena, conduct audits and reviews of medications, and ensure compliance with state requirements and organizational policies regarding medical care and records. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with flexible hours typically from 8 am to 5 pm, and requires participation in an on-call rotation for triage of medical concerns for one week per month. Mileage and cell phone reimbursement are provided.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Indiana required
- 1-2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities or other long-term care is preferred
- Must be skilled, flexible, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work cooperatively with staff, interdisciplinary team members, and outside agencies
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Organizational and computer skills
- Acceptable background check & driving record check
