Weekend Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse assesses residents’ needs, develops individualized care plans, administers and evaluates nursing care, and supervises nursing assistants and other personnel in delivering care in a skilled nursing facility. The role follows applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, as well as the Director of Nursing Services’ or designee’s direction, to maintain the highest degree of quality care. The nurse follows health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and the community’s established standards of practice and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Weekend shifts are needed on Saturdays and Sundays. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available at Grove Park Health & Rehab Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
Requirements
- Hold a current, unencumbered LPN license in the state of employment.
- Hold current CPR certification.
- Have basic computer skills and the ability to navigate software programs, including electronic health record software.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ needs.
- Develop individualized care plans.
- Administer nursing care and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
- Follow applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and established nursing standards and procedures.
