About The Position

This Licensed Practical Nurse position is in a 24-bed adult medical/surgical unit. The LPN provides comprehensive nursing care by conducting assessments, developing nursing diagnoses and patient care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to maintain professional nursing standards and deliver effective patient care. The role serves a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The shift is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Holiday coverage is mandatory. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of medical/surgical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement total nursing care for patients.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments.
• Create and maintain patient care plans.
• Work cooperatively with healthcare teams, including ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure adherence to professional nursing practices within the clinical setting.
• Deliver care to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Participate in holiday coverage as required.
