About The Position
The Arc Ontario is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to support individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. The role involves providing nursing care, administering prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring residents’ health and safety, maintaining accurate records, and responding to health-related concerns. The nurse may also support and guide overnight staff. The listed work location is Ontario County, New York. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some flexibility to meet program needs.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid New York State LPN license.
- Possess a valid New York State driver’s license that meets Agency Driver standards.
- Have no lifting restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing duties within the NYSED Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice.
- Maintain current medical, medication, anecdotal, and immunization records for assigned individuals at the required intervals.
- Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications according to physician orders.
- Maintain accurate records of physician orders and the acquisition, storage, and disposal of medications.
- Monitor residents’ health and safety and respond to health-related concerns.
- Provide hands-on care as needed.
- Support and guide overnight staff.
