About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center is looking for Per Diem LPNs. This is a PRN position requiring (4) 12-hour shifts per month. Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.

Nice To Haves

One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided, reporting findings to the unit Charge Nurse/RN.
Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary.
Provides supportive counseling and patient education.
Facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
Responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
