About The Position

Southeast Urogyn, a Partner Practice of Together Women’s Health (TWH), is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team. The LPN will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and offering support to patients and their families. This position is also open to Registered Nurses (RNs). The role will primarily focus on managing phone calls, prescription refills, and clinical tasks, with limited floor work unless necessary.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an LPN or RN
  • Must be willing to support high volume calls a day
  • Current CPR certification
  • An Associate's or bachelor’s degree, or higher
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care
  • Team player, dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls for the clinic, triage patients, and answer clinical questions to support patient care.
  • Counsel patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions.
  • Communicate follow-up appointments, ancillary testing, and scheduling needs to patients and office coordinators.
  • Complete paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, and FMLA.
  • Support the male program.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, prepare them for physicians, take vital signs, record medical history/symptoms, and ensure medical charts and lab test results are available and complete.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members.
  • Consult with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet patient healthcare needs.
  • Use organizational skills to effectively complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Clean and stock patient examination rooms; clean and prepare instruments for procedures; maintain a list of needed medical supplies.
  • Understand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties.
  • Document all medical interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
