About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for its detox and residential treatment facility in Aurora, Colorado. The LPN provides nursing care to clients, completes admission assessments, handles medication and pharmacy needs, and maintains accurate medical records while coordinating with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The position is full time and works overnight shifts on weekends, Friday through Sunday, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in Colorado.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
