Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Women's Health Clinic - Days
About The Position
Located at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, VA, the Women's Health Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The LPN role integrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This position assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. It also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
Requirements
- Current LPN Licensure in Virginia
- AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
- Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing
- Follows documented physician/licensed independent provider orders, standards, and practice guidelines such as treatments and organizes work to carry out assignment.
- Lifting 50-100 lbs.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous and infectious substances
