About The Position
We are seeking an experienced LPN to provide care in a Pediatric Emergency Department. This role involves delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting, supporting physicians and RNs, and ensuring efficient patient flow while maintaining high standards of care.
Requirements
- Current New York State LPN license
- CPR certification (must be active or able to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
- Pediatric Emergency Department experience required
- Proficiency in IV placement and phlebotomy
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency department
- Assist with patient intake, rooming, and preparation for exams
- Perform and document vital signs and patient assessments
- Assist with procedures including IV placement, injections, and phlebotomy
- Monitor patient responses and report changes to the care team
- Maintain exam rooms and ensure readiness for incoming patients
- Support administrative tasks such as insurance authorization and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
