Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Emergency Department
About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring an LPN for the Emergency Department. Up to $8,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Applicants! Hours: 36 (hours per week). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurse and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services. This role is in a high-volume, fast-paced unit with over 40 beds and more than 100,000 patient visits annually. The department includes multiple treatment areas that care for patients across all acuity levels, offering diverse clinical exposure and the opportunity to work with a strong team focused on quality outcomes and performance excellence.
Requirements
- LPN License (Required)
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Trade School or Associates Degree (Required)
