About The Position

This is a contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long-Term Care, located in Bismarck, North Dakota. The assignment is for 8 weeks, with a shift schedule of nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, involving 12-hour shifts and a 36/48 hour rotation.

Requirements

• Active North Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible scheduling rotations.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-focused care.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience working with geriatric populations.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and monitor resident health conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Perform routine nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
• Report significant changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Support the implementation and evaluation of resident care plans.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and state regulations.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and resident-centered environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
