About The Position

This is a 6-week contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long-Term Care at Carrington, North Dakota. The role involves providing direct nursing care to residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, and maintaining accurate documentation. The LPN will collaborate with the healthcare team, ensure resident safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Active North Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Long-Term Care experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience working with geriatric populations.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and accurately.
• Monitor resident health status and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Assist with care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure resident safety and adherence to nursing standards and facility policies.
• Support residents and families through education and care coordination.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives.
