About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Long-Term Care team in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania. This is a 6-week contract position with variable night shifts, requiring 8-hour shifts. The LPN will provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, monitor health status, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality resident care.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and resident care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Geriatric Care.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as prescribed.
  • Monitor, assess, and document residents' health status, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
  • Educate residents and families regarding care plans, medications, and health management.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
  • Participate in care conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and nursing standards.
