About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources presents an outstanding opportunity for a Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse at the cutting-edge Fairfax Health Center in Fairfax, Virginia. This role is perfect for aspiring Licensed Practical Nurses with at least 2 years of experience, providing a platform to hone nursing skills in an outpatient environment. The LPN will provide and assist in direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician, ensuring the well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) School
- 2 years of experience
- Valid and current Virginia license
- Maintain BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Observe and assess patients after initial dose is administered
- Prepare medications
- Collect urine specimens in accordance with State regulatory requirements and record urinalysis results in patients’ charts
- Complete patient paperwork with care and precision
- Perform daily reconciliation and handling some aspects of medication stocking
