About The Position

Provide support for adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues. Implement facility rules. This role involves direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, conducting admission assessments, overseeing medication administration, and charting in the EMR. The LPN will also provide training on medication-assisted self-administration and opioid effects, and consult with clinical staff.

Requirements

• Current LPN license in Idaho in good standing
• Experience in a psychiatric and or addiction treatment center
• The ability to work with clientele in a compassionate manner
• Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledge of medication interactions
• Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• Must pass background check.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Must be able to climb up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
• Valid and current Driver's License

Nice To Haves

• Experience with inpatient or ambulatory detoxification protocols a plus
• Knowledge of nutrition and holistic treatments preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• Current TB test (will be required to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals
• Conduct nursing and health assessments upon admission
• Oversee medication administration
• Oversight of any LPN providers including review of documentation/assessments
• Training on Medication Assisted Self Administration
• Training on opioid effects and intervention/support management
• Implementation of physician orders
• Clinical EMR charting and documentation according to licensing and accreditation standards
• Observe and assess client changes
• Oversee medication management according to a physician’s orders
• Consult with the clinical staff
• Provide support for adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Implement facility rules
• Other tasks as assigned.
