Licensed Practical Charge Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Charge Nurse assesses residents’ needs, develops individualized care plans, administers and evaluates nursing care, and supervises nursing assistants and other personnel delivering care in a skilled nursing facility. Supervision must comply with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and with directions from the Director of Nursing Services or designee, to maintain the highest quality of care. The nurse follows health, sanitation, and infection-control policies and established standards of practice set by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. This is a full-time opportunity in North Royalton, Ohio. The available shift is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Facility-specific program and benefit details may vary.
Requirements
- Hold a current, unencumbered LPN license in the state of employment.
- Hold a current CPR certification.
- Have basic computer skills and the ability to navigate various software programs, including electronic health record software.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ needs.
- Develop individualized resident care plans.
- Administer nursing care and evaluate the care provided.
- Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
- Follow applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as directions from the Director of Nursing Services or designee.
- Follow health, sanitation, and infection-control policies and established standards of practice.
