About The Position

Schuster Physical Therapy (SPT) is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for their outpatient private practice in Boone, NC. SPT has been providing exceptional therapy services since 2015 and is committed to employee appreciation and respect, as well as providing high-quality patient care. The practice is located in a scenic area with abundant outdoor recreational opportunities. The PTA will work with a diverse patient population, treating conditions such as non-surgical and post-operative rehabilitation, sport-specific therapy, joint/spine management, and specialty programs for neurological deficits, balance/vestibular dysfunction, concussions, and pelvic health. The practice emphasizes one-on-one patient care and offers a coordinated mentoring program and support for professional development, including specialty certifications.

Requirements

• Graduate (current or pending) from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Active or pending North Carolina physical therapist assistant license.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Work with a blended caseload including non-surgical and post-operative rehabilitation, sport-specific therapy, and joint/spine management.
• Serve patients with neurological deficits, balance/vestibular dysfunction, concussions, and pelvic health dysfunction.
• Tailor treatment approaches to individual patient needs and therapist strengths/interests.
• Engage in one-on-one patient time to ensure high standards of care.
• Participate in a coordinated mentoring program.
• Engage in professional and personal development opportunities.
• Support specialty therapy services.
