About The Position

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is an optical retailer focused on providing attentive eye care. The Optician helps customers select and receive eyeglasses and contact lenses, provides product education and contact lens insertion and removal training, and delivers customer service while supporting store performance. The role also helps maintain accurate patient records, follow up on orders, support quality and operational standards, manage inventory and merchandising, and mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law. The position is part-time. The store is closed every Sunday.

Requirements

Hold an active dispensing license as required by the state.
3+ years of related experience or training.
Strong customer service and clear communication abilities.
Confident selling skills and the ability to meet store goals.
Be organized, detail-minded, and able to multitask in a busy setting.
Be professional, friendly, and comfortable working with a variety of people.

Previous retail experience.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with eyeglass and contact lens dispensing, including contact lens insertion and removal training and product education.
Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting sales goals and company objectives.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage order follow-up, including customer notifications and weekly outreach.
Support quality and operational excellence by reducing remakes, following safety standards, and adhering to company policies.
Maintain inventory control, merchandising standards, and a clean, organized work environment.
Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
