About The Position

The Licensed Optician ensures delivery of the Target Optical Way and a positive Guest Experience. The role embraces the mindsets of being people focused, collaborative, accountable to results, thinking differently, and keeping the experience simple, fun, and in style. The optician fits and dispenses fashionable eyewear, supports sales goals, builds awareness of Target Optical, and maintains professional partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host. The position also requires following operating policies and procedures, including training, marketing and merchandising execution, accurate sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensed as required by the state.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
Basic computer skills.
Selling skills.
Ability to drive results.
Self-motivation.

Accountability.
Accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily sales goals through effective execution of Guest Experience behaviors.
Provide a simple, fun, and in-style fashion experience through the Playground Rules.
Build brand awareness by attracting new Guests from the Host to Optical each day.
Develop and maintain professional business partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
Create a positive Guest experience on every visit by accurately fitting and dispensing fashionable products.
Follow operating policies and procedures, including training, timely and accurate implementation of approved marketing, merchandising programs, and promotions; accurate completion of sales transactions; and use of sales strategies and resources.
Ensure accuracy in all transactions and interactions with Guests.
