About The Position

The Licensed Optician ensures delivery of the Target Optical Way and the Guest Experience, embracing the mindsets of being people-focused, collaborative, accountable to results, thinking differently, and keeping the experience simple, fun, and in style. The role delivers sales goals and provides guests with a fashionable experience by accurately fitting and dispensing eyewear. It also supports brand awareness and maintains professional partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host. The Licensed Optician follows operating policies and procedures, including training, marketing and merchandising programs, promotions, accurate sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensed as required by the state.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
Basic computer skills.
Selling skills.
Driver for results.
Self-motivated.
Critical thinking.
Accountability.
Accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily sales goals through flawless execution of Guest Experience behaviors.
Provide a simple, fun, and in-style fashion experience through the Playground Rules.
Build brand awareness by attracting new guests from the Host to Optical each day.
Develop and maintain professional business partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
Create an amazing guest experience on every visit by accurately fitting and dispensing fashionable products.
Follow operating policies and procedures, including training, implementation of marketing and merchandising programs and promotions, completing sales transactions accurately, and using sales strategies and resources.
Ensure accuracy in all transactions and interactions with guests.
