About The Position

The Licensed Optician ensures delivery of the Target Optical Way and a positive Guest Experience. The role embraces the mindsets of being people focused, collaborative, accountable to results, thoughtful and simple, and fun and in style. The position delivers sales goals by providing fashionable eyewear products and services, accurately fitting and dispensing products, and ensuring accurate transactions and interactions. It also builds brand awareness and professional partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host while following operating policies, training requirements, and approved marketing and merchandising programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed as required by the state.
• At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Selling skills.
• Ability to drive for results.
• Self-motivated.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• Accountability.
• Accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily sales goals through effective execution of Guest Experience behaviors.
• Provide a simple, fun, and in-style fashion experience through the Playground Rules.
• Build brand awareness by attracting new Guests from the Host to Optical each day.
• Develop and maintain professional business partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
• Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
• Create an excellent Guest experience by accurately fitting and dispensing fashionable products.
• Follow operating policies and procedures, including training, timely and accurate implementation of approved marketing and merchandising programs and promotions, accurate completion of sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.
• Ensure accuracy in all transactions and interactions with Guests.
